Publishing your company profile in the Startup Spotlight

Why and how should founders on SeedBlink's Startup Spotlight

Updated this week

What is Startup Spotlight?

Startup Spotlight is your opportunity to showcase your company to over 10,000+ European investors. Think of it as your LinkedIn for fundraising - a professional, always-ready profile that makes your startup discoverable to active, relevant investors who can provide both capital and valuable expertise.

Why Should You Publish Your Profile?

Get Discovered by the Right Investors Your published profile appears on our dedicated Startup Spotlight page where investors actively browse for new opportunities in discovering, connecting and helping startups. This passive discovery connects you with investors you might never have found otherwise.

Track Real Interest and Feedback Unlike cold outreach, Spotlight shows you exactly who's interested in your startup. You'll see detailed insights including investor ratings, feedback comments, and concrete investment interest levels.

Professional Fundraising Presence Having a live, shareable profile gives you instant credibility. Each published profile gets its own unique URL that you can share anywhere - whether you're pitching at events, networking, following up on meetings, or including in email signatures. You can direct potential investors to a comprehensive, professional overview of your company. Once you have connected and/or received interest from enough investors, you can open your private round with more confidence that investors will actually be interested and commit to your round.

Access Expert Guidance Beyond Capital When publishing, you can specify exactly what type of support you need - from technical co-founders to regulatory guidance. This helps match you with investors who bring more than just money to the table.

How the publishing process Works

Step 1: Complete Your Company Profile

Fill out all sections of your company profile including:

  • General Information: Company name, website, incorporation details, contact information

  • Business Details: Tagline, description, problem/solution, business model, target market, development stage, team information

  • Key Metrics: Employee count, revenue status, funding history

  • Documents: Upload your pitch deck and other relevant materials

Important: Financial documents you upload will remain private and will NOT be made public on your Spotlight profile.

Step 2: Reach 75% Completion

Once your profile reaches 75% completion, you'll be eligible to publish. The system will show you the level of completion after you hit save.

Step 3: Select Your Support Needs

During the publishing process, you'll choose from specific areas where you'd benefit from expert guidance:

  • Warm intros to customers/partners

  • Design partners

  • Pitch deck & fundraising feedback

  • Go-to-market & sales strategy

  • Hiring key early roles

  • Industry-specific mentorship

  • Product feedback

  • Board member / strategic advisor

  • International expansion advice

  • Partnership & channel strategy

  • Regulatory & compliance guidance

  • Financial modeling & ops support

  • Credibility & signal boosting

  • Technical co-founder

This selection helps our algorithm match you with the most relevant investors for your specific needs.

Step 4: Submit for Review

After clicking "Save and publish profile," your submission enters our review process. Our team will evaluate your profile to ensure it meets quality standards and is ready for investor visibility.

Review Timeline: Maximum 48 hours (typically much faster)
Notification: You'll receive a notification once your profile is approved and goes live

What Happens After Publishing?

Your Profile Goes Live

Once approved, your startup appears on the Startup Spotlight page at investors.seedblink.com, where investors can:

  • Browse and discover your company

  • Leave detailed feedback and ratings

  • Express concrete investment interest

  • Request collaboration on specific support areas you've selected

Access Investor Insights

Your company profile view transforms into an Investor Insights dashboard showing:

Engagement Metrics:

  • Number of investors who "like" your idea

  • Number of investors expressing investment interest

  • Overall rating score from investor feedback

  • Active collaboration requests

Detailed Investor Responses:

  • Individual investor names and contact information

  • Specific feedback comments

  • Investment interest levels (e.g., "Yes | 5K-10K EUR")

  • Collaboration preferences

  • Response dates

Connection Management:

  • Track all investor connections in one place

  • See what type of support each investor wants to provide

  • Manage ongoing conversations and collaborations

Making Changes to Your Published Profile

Important Consideration: Editing a published profile will temporarily remove it from the Startup Spotlight while it undergoes a new review process.

What's Preserved: All investor insights, feedback, ratings, and connections you've received will remain saved and accessible on your profile insights page.

Best Practice: Consider carefully before making edits to a live profile, as you'll lose visibility during the re-review period.
